Grand Junction Colorado Fly Fishing Guest Ranch
The High Lonesome Ranch sits in a fertile valley on the Western Slope of
the Colorado Rockies. We are virtually unaffected by spring runoff in the Rocky Mountains giving us one of the longest fishing seasons anywhere in Colorado. We fish from late March into November every year. With over 300 square miles of deeded and permitted access, the ranch is a quick 30-minute drive from Grand Junction’s Walker Field Airport.
Guests have the opportunity to fish two ranches in every trip. At the High Lonesome Ranch in Debeque you’ll sight cast to brookies, browns, rainbows and cuttbows on one of 30 spring creek ponds. After you’re warmed up, head down to our new ranch, the K-T in Meeker, where you’ll fish up to 6 miles of the legendary White River. Test your skills on one of three private Spring Creeks. Add to it a float fish on either the Roaring Fork or the Colorado and you’ll experience all that the region has to offer. Overnight accommodations and gourmet meals are at both ranches, all designed for your convenience.

Fly-Fishing Guides
All anglers are accompanied by some of the best fly fishing guides in the West. Our guides are Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Guides, and are equally adept at guiding as they are instructing. They'll provide as much or as little assistance as you require, and photograph your excursion, providing you with a CD of images upon departure. If you feel you need work on your casting or fishing technique, you may want to consider one of our specialized clinics.
Fly Shop
When you check in you’ll find a Guest Services kiosk inside the remodeled, renamed and expanded Lonesome Outfitter Pro Shop, stocked with Orvis Fly Fishing equipment. Licenses are available and both ranches have a full rental program. There are a variety of new products from both national and local vendors to outfit you for each of your field adventures. In addition is a tasteful selection of gifts and crafts made by local artisans.
 
New Buildouts
The BBQ House now doubles as a Conference Facility. State-of-the-art computer and sound systems, Power Point projectors, a wireless network and more are in place to best serve guests who wish to mix business with pleasure. The equipment rivals a corporate boardroom, but here at the High Lonesome Ranch you get a far better view.
The majority of the rooms in both the Guest and Pond House has been remodeled, and include private bathrooms. Common areas have been updated, with a fireplace and hearth in the Guest House, new furnishings, a flat screen television, and both a billiards and poker table. Wireless Internet helps you stay connected (if you must). Each house may be rented for large groups, or for families seeking a private vacation.
