Grand Junction Colorado Fly Fishing Guest Ranch
 The High Lonesome Ranch sits in a fertile valley on the Western Slope of the Colorado Rockies. We are only lightly affected by spring runoff in the Rocky Mountains, giving us one of the longest fishing seasons anywhere in Colorado. We often fish from late March into November. With over 300 square miles of deeded and permitted lands, the ranch is a quick 45-minute drive from Grand Junction’s Walker Field Airport.
Guests have the opportunity to fish two ranches in every trip. At The High Lonesome Ranch near DeBeque you’ll sight cast to brookies, browns, rainbows, and cuttbows on one of 20+ spring creek pools. After you’re warmed up, head up to our other ranch, the K bar T in Meeker, where you’ll fish 7+ miles of the legendary White River, three private spring creeks, and two beaver ponds. Add to that a float trip on either the Roaring Fork or the Colorado and you’ll experience all that the region has to offer. Overnight accommodations and gourmet meals are at both ranches, all designed for your greatest pleasure.

Fly-Fishing Guides
 All anglers are accompanied by some of the best fly-fishing guides in the west. All our guides are Orvis endorsed. Buzz Cox, our ranch manager at the K-T was just honored with the first ever Orvis Lifetime Achievement Award for his guiding prowess. All of the guides are equally adept at instructing as they are guiding. They’ll provide as much or as little assistance as you requite and photograph your excursion, providing you with a CD of images upon your departure. If you feel you need work on your casting or fishing technique, you may want to consider one of our specialized clinics.
Fly Shop
 When you check into The High Lonesome Ranch, you’ll find The Lonesome Outfitter shop stocked with Orvis fly-fishing equipment, clothing, and just about anything you need for your sporting adventure. Licenses are available and both ranches have a full rental program. There are a variety of new products form both national and local vendors to outfit you for each of your field adventures. In addition, there is a tasteful selection of gifts made by local artisans. Every detail is taken care of and planned for in advance. All that’s left for you to do is enjoy your stay.
Facilities
The Conference facility offers state-of-the-art computer and sound systems. Projectors, a wireless network, and more are in place to serve guests who want to mix business with pleasure. The equipment rivals a corporate boardroom, but here at the ranch, you get a far better view!
Western Elegant Accommodations
The Guest House boasts 8 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. The Pond House has five and five. The Homestead House has three and two. All common areas have been updated with a hearth and both billiards and poker tables in the Guest House, new furnishings, new furnishings, and flat screen TVs in all. Wireless Internet lets you stay connected if you must. Each house may be rented for large groups or for families seeking a private vacation.

 The High Lonesome Ranch sits just an hour and a half west of Vail just off I-70 and well secluded from the rest of the world. You’ll enjoy ultimate privacy in a location that’s also easily accessible by commercial airlines, private jet, helicopter, or car. Grand Junction’s Walker Field Airport is served by United/Continental, Delta, US Airways, and American Airlines. We’re happy to provide pick-up and drop-off service for our guests.
