The Patriot runs both open party (open to the general public trips) and charter private fishing trips throughout the year. Captain John Fischer is a 20 year veteran and knows both the islands and coastal regions better than almost anyone. Very intuitive captain with great working relationships means he has the best information available to select which locations to fish and to meet or exceed expectations with his customers. He is the most popular captain at the landing with the customers, he always puts in the maximum effort every trip and they respect that immensely. Captain John is also an excellent fisherman, which is very important in understanding how to position the ship the best on reefs and other structure holding gamefish as well as many subtle tricks that can make the difference between a great day and a fair one.
Limited load open to the general public trips are regularly available and highly recommended. Catalina Island is the usual destination and giant yellowtail and white sea bass are some of the highly prized gamefish available.
Private ship rentals are also available for all size groups up to 75 persons. Group of 20 to 40 persons, this is a perfect option. Indoor kitchen with booth seating, surround outside seating, and a slough of other comforts make for a very enjoyable fishing experience. Trip lengths available include ½ day, ¾ day (10 hours) and the longest a full day or 12 hour trip. Twilight or evening fishing trips are also available.
