Newport Beach Open Party Fishing

Newport Landing Sportfishing offers several different open party fishing trips daily.

On the local scene,

1/2 Day fishing trips, which run from 6:00am - 12:00pm and from 12:30-5:30pm, fish up and down the coast for bass, barracuda, halibut, and the occasional yellowtail or white seabass.

3/4 Day fishing trips depart daily at 7:00am. They fish Catalina Island or the coast from San Onofre to the Horseshoe Kelp...wherever the fish are biting!

Anglers on our Newport Beach Open Party Fishing overnight trips, fish Catalina, San Clemente, and the outer banks exclusively. On these trips you could expect to catch yellowtail, white seabass, yellowfin and bluefin tuna, albacore, and of course, calico bass and rockfish.

The Patriot is Newport Landing's open party 3/4 Day boat. It offers freelance trips daily from 7am-5pm. Fishing both the coastal areas including, from the Horseshoe Kelp to San Onofre, as well as Catalina Island, you could expect to catch anything from sandbass and calico bass to yellowtail, tuna, or white seabass on these trips

Amigo

Mike Thompson's Amigo runs both open party and charter trips throughout the year. It also runs overnight limited load trips to Catalina, San Clemente, and the outer banks. These trips focus on big game species, such as tuna, yellowtail, and white seabass.

Mike is considered to be one of the most knowledgeable captains along our coast and his consistent catches of large quantities of big fish back this up. He has been an owner/operator the Amigo for over 25 years and has more than 30 years experience fishing from Mexico to the Channel Islands.

Ultra

The Ultra is Newport Landing's limited load open party and charter boat. The Ultra, completly refurbished in November 2000, runs both 1/2 Day and 3/4 Day trips, as well as 1 Day and 2 Day trips. The Ultra has bunks for 8, modern galley and absolutely state-of-the-art electronics, including a color meter and a full scanning sonar. The Ultra's owner Brian Blair is also known as being one of the hardest working Captains along the coast.

The Aggressor runs daily open party overnight trips. if you are the type of angler that likes to go after the big game the aggressor is the boat for you. the aggressor will be taking lucky anglers on island freelance trips in search of yellowtail and white sea bass or offshore for albacore, bluefin tuna, and dorado. and remember that newport landing always puts fewer passengers on open party trips for less money then anywhere else in southern california.
