 The "Riptide" is owned and operated by Capt. William Smith. "Capt. Smitty" has worked on sportfishing boats in the Bay Area for over twenty years, has been a licensed captain for fifteen years, and has been involved in Half Moon Bay sport fishing for the past fifteen years. Capt. Smitty's Riptide Sportfishing specializes in providing personalized attention to individuals and small groups. His enthusiasm for Half Moon Bay sportfishing makes your trip memorable. The F/V Riptide is a 40? fiberglass hull, equipped with turbo diesel, state-of-the art electronics, and is licensed and inspected by the United States Coast Guard. Riptide is located on "H" dock at Pillar Pt. Harbor in El Granada (near Half Moon Bay), California. Rockfish Charter (does not include license or tackle) Season opens May 1st Weekday (local) charters first 12 passengers: $828 ($69 each additional person) Weekend (local) charters first 15 passengers: $1125 ($75 each additional person)
For charters a 50% deposit is required to hold reservation Check in time is 6:00 am AT THE SHOP (ALWAYS VERIFY YOUR TIME, Trips return between 1 and 3 PM)
Salmon Charter (does not include license or tackle) Weekday charters first 12 passengers: $1080($90 each additional person) Weekend charters first 15 passengers: $1350 ($90each additional person) For charters a 50% deposit is required to hold reservation Check in time is 5:00 am AT THE Shop (ALWAYS VERIFY YOUR TIME, Trips return between 1 and 3 PM)
 Tuna Charter (in season) (does not include license or tackle) Tuna charters up to 6 passengers: $1800 For charters a 50% deposit is required to hold reservation Check in time is 4 am AT THE BOAT (ALWAYS VERIFY YOUR TIME)
Rod Rental Tackle and license ( Available on board the boat) Rod rental is $10 per person Basic tackle kit is $10 -$12 per person One Day License is $14 per person
Fish cleaning
Salmon are cleaned on board, free of charge.
Rockfish and tuna can be cleaned for you for a nominal charge.

Weekdays - up to 12 people - $480 (Regular 3-hour tour)
(High season possible 4 hour trips)
Weekends - up to 15 people - $600 (Regular 3-hour tour)
Individuals and small groups must total a minimum of 8 passengers to run a trip
