Arriving by sea plane or water taxi, the spectacular wilderness landscape and peaceful surroundings immediately envelope you. Vancouver Island Fishing
Your expert local guide, eager to share his secret Barkley Sound fishing spots, will work hard for the catch you desire. 20-26 foot covered boats are fully-equipped with downriggers, tackle, bait, electronic fish finders, and other supplies for a successful day on the water.
Salmon and Other Varieties
You'll embark on guided world-class BC salmon fishing and saltwater sport fishing trips on one BC's legendary halibut and salmon grounds. Barkley Sound offers almost year round opportunities with May and June offering young Coho and for Chinook that can weigh up to 25 pounds. Late June and July brings in the annual sockeye run. July, August and September are the best months for Kings that can range from 20 to 50 pounds each. In September, the northern silvers arrive. Halibut can reach 100 pounds all year round, but are best in the spring and early summer. Our professional guides will share all their favorite angling spots with you.
Preparing Your Fish
Your guide will prepare, vacupack and package your fish for shipping or for your travels home. You may wish to request that our Chef specially prepare your "catch of the day" for your dining pleasure.
More Exciting Activities
Explore Barkley Sound with our Half-Day Wildlife Cruise. Tour the many islands near the Resort with a chance to view Bald Eagles, Cormorants, sea lions, porpoises, whales, and even the occasional black bear, or wolves. Enjoy an Eagle Nook lunch on a sunny beach while your guide shares his local knowledge of the area. On your own, hike our natural trails around the Lodge or kayak the serene waters of Jane Bay. Catch a glimpse of our resident black bear on the grassy beach!
Our Guided Kayaking option provides an exciting full day paddling tour of the Broken Group Islands, complete with expert instruction, shared local knowledge of area terrain and wildlife, and a wonderful picnic lunch.
Pamper yourself indoors with one of our various spa treatments. Soothe your senses and ease those aching muscles from the long day outdoors. Massage options include Swedish, hot stone, aromatherapy, or deep tissue. Facials, body wraps, and other treatments are also available.

Arriving
We offer daily water taxi transportation from Ucluelet and ground transfer from the Tofino Airport (air service from Vancouver). Begin your adventure from Seattle via scheduled seaplane service direct to our dock. Seaplane charters from Vancouver and Seattle can also be arranged.
Feel free to arrive at Eagle Nook on your own boat or your own seaplane. Stay the night or just stop by lunch-- you're always welcome at Eagle Nook!
