Rivers Inlet Fishing Lodge for Salmon Fishing in British Columbia

King Salmon Resort, Rivers Inlet Oak Bay Marine Group Resorts
Three major spawning streams intersect at Rivers Inlet, home of the spectacular King Salmon Resort. The resort takes its name from the mighty Chinook or King salmon. These massive Chinook lurk throughout the inlet and King Salmon Resort guests are just a few pulls away from the catch of a lifetime. 40, 50, 60 lbs…it’s trophy salmon fishing at its finest.
Location:
On British Columbia’s Central Coast, King Salmon Resort is situated among ancient coastal trees in the breathtaking wilderness of Rivers Inlet. Duplex style cabins ring a barbeque pit, perfect for evening stories and tall fish tales. In the heart of the Inlet, this oasis of comfort and security is only minutes away from salmon fishing hotspots like the Slide and Marker 16. The inlet acts like a cradle for the massive salmon runs of three major salmon spawning rivers; heavy from feeding, these salmon gather in the inlet, waiting for the right time to make their final push to their natal rivers. The inlet is truly legendary for the massive salmon caught every year in the variety of fishing locations in the area.
Fishing:
King Salmon Resort is a self-guided salmon fishing resort where guests fish two to a boat. All trips begin with an orientation and full explanation of the boats and fishing gear. The resort fishmaster, a knowledgeable angler with experience fishing in the waters of Rivers Inlet, is always on the water, ensuring you have enough bait, fishing gear and know-how to bring in your dream salmon as well as have a safe and enjoyable fishing experience. They are in constant radio contact, pointing out hot spots, offering tips on fishing and netting technique.
For novice anglers, King Salmon Resort offers a New Frontiers Program including additional on-the-water instruction to help you get started and feel comfortable with the fishing process.
Masterfisherman Club
Oak Bay Marine Group believes in celebrating spectacular fish and the anglers who catch them. The exclusive Masterfisherman Club honours Chinook/King salmon over 50 lbs, Coho/Silvers over 20 pounds and halibut that top the scales at over 100 lbs. Each angler who catches one to these trophy fish is awarded the title Masterfisherman. He or she is recognized by the fishmaster at dinner, given a hat and pin, has his or her name engraved on the resort plaque and receives 10,000 Fanatic Fishing Points. It’s an honour that most aim for but only a select few achieve.
Equipment and Catch Care:
King Salmon Resort guests fish from 17’ custom-made Hourstons with partial convertible canopies, providing a stable, comfortable fishing platform for any kind of weather.
