Campbell River Resort:
 Located in Campbell River on the Inside Passage between Vancouver Island and British Columbia's west coast, Painter's Lodge is full-service resort set against a striking backdrop of sea, sky and mountains. This 94 room resort offers a variety of different suites to suit your individual needs. Guests are welcomed by oceanfront views, lush gardens, a pool and hot tubs, tennis courts and a fitness center. Legend's Dining Room and the Tyee Pub combine to offer a variety of dining options. Across the Discovery Passage sits April Point Resort & Spa, the resort's sister property complete with an Aveda spa, sushi bar, kayaks, bicycles, scooters and more.
Fishing:
 Set off in a 17 foot Boston Whaler with your experienced guide and your fishing partner and fish the eddies, backwaters, islands and inlets of the Discovery Passage. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced angler, your guide can set the hooks, offer new tips and techniques and help you reel in the catch you've been waiting for. Painter's Lodge is the choice for anglers looking to reel in Chinook and Coho salmon. The fall also brings excellent opportunities for Pink and Chum salmon. We provide all the equipment you'll need to enjoy your time out on the water. Back at the dock, your guide will weigh, clean and package your catch so it's ready for you to take home. Swap fish tales, watch for wildlife, and soak up the stunning scenery as you drop your line into the salmon-rich waters of The Salmon Capital of the World.
 On the water activities:
Painter's Lodge is a great place to enjoy a Vancouver Island wildlife tour. For the adventurous visitors, zip along the Discovery Passage in a zodiac as your naturalist/guide points out seals, sea lions, eagles, bears, porpoises and more. You can also try a whale watching tour and travel through Johnstone Strait searching for majestic orca whales that cruise these waters. For something more tranquil, rent a kayak at April Point Resort & Spa and paddle through the calm waters of Gowlland Harbour where you're sure to encounter a harbour seal or two!
Other activities: 
Painter's Lodge has a pool and hot tubs as well as a fitness centre and tennis courts on the grounds. April Point Resort & Spa has bicycles and scooters available for rent as well as the Aveda Spa. Guest services coordinators at both resorts would be happy to help you book a tee time at one of the local golf courses as well as arrange a horseback riding trip or point out some of the hiking trails in the area.
