Exclusive Fly In Fishing Lodge in the majestic wilderness of the Chilcotin Alplands Remote and wild, yet comfortable describes the unique fishing adventure near the southeast corner of Tweedsmuir Provincial Park.
Crazy Bear Lake is connected to a chain of five other smaller lakes which are nestled among the snowcapped mountains at the edge of the BC rugged coastal mountain range. At 4,300 feet above sea level, Crazy Bear Lake stays cold throughout the summer which provides excellent fishing for resident Wild Rainbow Trout.
We are the only lodge on this 2 mile long, crystal clear lake!
The surrounding smaller lakes are connected by streams and are part of the headwaters of the famous Atnarko River. The Only Access to Crazy Bear Wilderness Lodge is by floatplane! This unique fishing location is suited for those who seek solitude while fishing our 6 lakes and streams as you are often the only person fishing at the location you choose. With less people and less travel time, and more fishing time, this makes the ideal remote fishing experience! No crowds, More fish!
The streams connecting the six lakes offer plenty of places to fly fish.
Fish for Native Rainbow Trout that grow up to 24 inches in our streams
and six lakes. Our Wild Rainbow Trout are rated one of the top five
sport fish in North America because of the hard fight they put up. In
addition, the hikes between the lakes make for great opportunities to
view wildlife.

At Crazy Bear Wilderness Lodge you decide how you want to fish. You can choose to Fly-Fish, Spin Cast, or Troll. We offer boats with motors, canoes, kayaks and float tubes. Our Boats are at each of the lakes so you can enjoy hiking and boating from one lake to the next.
Fishing Tackle
Bring your own rods and reels. Fly anglers should be armed with 5-6 weight rods, 8-10 feet in length. Gear anglers should be equipped with 6-7 foot, medium-action rods. We have local flies available at the lodge.

 Log Cabins:
Crazy Bear Wilderness Lodge provides comfortable and cozy individual Log Cabins with woodstoves and propane lanterns that invite the feeling of going back in time to rustic living in the wilderness. Each of our cabins have a balcony with a view of the lake and are nicely spaced apart for your privacy and enjoyment. We have 2 larger Cabins: 'Creekside Cabin' and 'Beach Cabin' for groups of 4 to 6 guests.
Cabins Include:
- Queen beds and single beds, bedding and linens
- Hot Showers
- Range top, Fridge and Sink in all cabins
- Meals are included and served at the Lodge. Shore lunch for those who venture out for the day.
- Woodstove in each cabin.
- Fire-pits near the cabins for our guests to enjoy while listening to the loons calling on the lake.
- Tee Pee at the furthest lake for the adventurous hiker!
