Vancouver Island Salmon Fishing
Millions of Salmon migrate annually past the West Coast of Vancouver Island, heading for their spawning grounds. The main salmon runs move down the coast from May till the end of September.Combine that with the mild Spring and Summer weather in Victoria, and you’ve got incredible fishing!
You could catch your fill of giant trophy Chinooks, which can exceed 50 pounds!
Or of the fast acting, and high flying Coho’s that can weigh in over 25 pounds!
Or of the non-stop action of Pink’s and Sockeye!

Sooke is also home to the world renowned Sooke Harbour House Hotel and Restaurant. Celebrities from all over have been known to helicopter in for a sumptuous meal!
Port Renfrew Fishing Charters Port Renfrew is Vancouver Island’s best kept secret; and a fisherman’s paradise! It is the gateway to Pacific Rim National Park, and the home to the world famous West Coast Trail. Port Renfrew is a scenic 2 hour drive from Victoria, on Highway 14; which winds it’s way through lush forests, tiny communities, and along the West Coast of Vancouver Island. We offer inshore trips long the 20 miles of fishable coastline from Owen Point to Nitinat Lake; and offshore trips to Swiftsure Bank, where the ocean bottom rise quickly from 2 miles to a few hundred feet! This makes for ideal fishing conditions!
 Vancouver Island Wildlife Viewing Tours
Fantastic fishing is just one part of your experience with us. Throughout your adventure, you may have many opportunities to glimpse some amazing wildlife, in their natural settings. Whale sightings are very common all summer, along the West Coast.
You could see Orca’s (Killer Whales), or Humpback Whales, or both, as they migrate North and feed.
If you’re really lucky, you may even see one breach (jump clear out of the water)! All along the shoreline, you could see Black Bears, Black-Tailed Deer, and even Roosevelt Elk; the largest of the Elk family; as they feed along the shore. There are always Bald Eagles perched in the treetops; keeping a perilous eye on some unsuspecting fish! There is also a large colony of Sea Lions living on the rocks below the Carmanah Lighthouse.
