Steelhead Fly Fishing the remote upper Nass Watershed
We specialize in providing destination fly fishing packages for Steelhead in Northwestern British Columbia. Our packages include jet boat and raft access fishing on the Bell Irving and Meziadin Rivers and helicopter fishing on the Nass River. Packages begin in mid September and run until early November with a maximum capacity of only SIX guided anglers per week. We focus on creating an intimate experience between the fisherman and the river in a comfortable, safe and very remote wilderness environment.
Fly Fishing the Bell Irving River
The Bell Irving River is a tributary of the mighty Nass River. This river is remote and difficult to access. We can offer anglers a chance to appreciate complete solitude on one of BC's world class steelhead waters. Access to 60 miles of fishable water is provided by jet boat or raft. The average steelhead on the Bell Irving is 8-12 lbs with the chance of a +20 lb fish quite common. The river is very suited to both single handed or spey casting fishing methods. The opportunity to fish the upper Nass River for steelhead is a truly unique experience. We are the only outfitter that can provide helicopter access to this very remote and productive fishery. These trips offer the most dedicated steelheaders a chance to fish water that has seldom, if ever, been fished before. The combination of flexibility, mystery, wildlife and pristine wilderness offered by this program is a once in a lifetime angling adventure. Fish in groups of 2 anglers using the helicopter for access and rafts to navigate to the best pools and runs. Bell 2 Lodge Nass River British Columbia Fishing Lodge  Our lodge has been recently renovated and entirely refurbished. It offers the comforts of a first class hotel with the rustic touch of the Canadian wild. The dining room and lounge act as a focal point for fishing stories to be shared. Guests are accommodated in log chalets, located approximately 100 m from the main lodge. All rooms have private bathroom and 2 queen size beds. Fishing guests have access to a specifically designed drying a equipment storage room. Rod and reel racks, boot and wader drying facilities will keep all your gear safe, dry and ready to use. A fly tying vice and all the essential fly fishing maintenance equipment is available. A limited selection of flies, lines and fishing tackle can be purchased in our pro shop.
