We are really excited about things that are happening for our upcoming season at Amazon Fishing Adventures. During a time of extreme upheaval in our industry with numerous companies their operations, we are pleased to be able to continue offering some of the best opportunities for catching peacock bass on the Amazon River.
Amazon Luxury Yacht
THE BELLE OF THE AMAZON: $4,595 / angler
We were given the choice of all of the Santana yachts from which to select the primary offering for this season. After careful examination of each facility, we settled on the Belle Amazon as the best for our clients. All of the rooms are on the two main decks. There are 8 double rooms with staggered bunk beds and a VIP suite with a king size bed enough to accommodate 18 clients. Each has a private bath and is fully air conditioned. The kitchen and dining area are on the main deck with seating for all clients to join together at a single table. On the upper deck is a Media Room for your entertainment pleasure, a bar for your refreshment, and an open deck to enjoy the moonlight and the stars.
On board you will be attended by our host, Harry, and Daniel, our Camp Manager. Our resident nurse will be present for any medical needs you might have. You will enjoy the luxury of a sit-down dinner each night – served with your choice of wine, beer or any non-alcoholic drinks. After dinner, you can retire to the upper deck where Harry will take your favorite liquor and mix you the drinks of your choice. You will have Satellite TV to watch plus some interesting movies on the DVD. There will be a satellite phone available for emergencies for a small fee.
You will fish from our specially designed aluminum boats equipped with 50 HP, 4 stroke, Suzuki engines. The fishing boats are 18’ in length and have large casting platforms both front and rear. In addition, you can enjoy the swivel seats that are standard when you need a break from standing.
And best of all, you will get to enjoy this luxury with an American Outfitter than understands the desires of his clients and who fishes the areas extensively himself so that you have the best information available about fishing conditions and water levels. You can depend on this operator to advise you of current conditions prior to your trip so that if conditions are not right you will get the option to continue your trip or to postpone your trip until better conditions exist.
The cost of this trip is the same as last season: $4,595/angler, and the trip will be limited to a maximum of 18 anglers.
OUR LOW COST OPTION: $3,495/angler
Beginning in September, we will be offering trips on the Santana III yacht for a price of $3,495/angler. Clients will board the yacht in Manaus after clearing immigration and customs at the airport. Once on board, and while the client is sleeping, the yacht will be moved to a desirable fishing area where the clients may begin fishing by mid-afternoon. The yacht will move daily as fishing conditions dictate so that the client gets in 5 full days of fishing. On Thursday night, the boat will return to Manaus, arriving in Manaus at about 10:00 a.m. Friday morning. The trip will end upon arrival in Manaus.
Although the staff will be different from the Belle staff, we believe that the assembled staff with some former Amazon Fishing Adventures guides will be outstanding. Fishing will be from 17’ boats with 30 HP Suzuki outboard motors that will permit easy access into the tightest locations in search of the “Big Ones”. We will have a tackle rental package available for $150 or you may bring your own equipment and baits. We will sell certain disposable baits such as soft plastics and jigs onboard the boat. All other features of the trip will be the same as on the more luxurious Belle Amazon. Maximum number of participants is 16 anglers. Check out our website for further details.
EXPLORATORY TRIPS: $2,995 / angler
Our Amazon Fishing Adventures Exploratory Boat is small and fast. It is designed to reach lots of different areas very quickly so that we can make the most of our explorations into unfamiliar waters. As in any exploratory venture, there can be no guarantee of success, but we can guarantee good food, good friends and good times. For the more adventurous client, come with us to look at areas out of the normal path of current fishing operators to see if we can discover new and exciting places to fish for Peacock Bass and other jungle exotics.
We will fish from small jon boats or from kayaks. We will move as far back into the jungle as we can reach with the exploratory boat and then further with the small fishing boats. Each person will sleep in hammocks on the upper deck, however, there are a very limited number of bunk beds in small air conditioned rooms below for those who are not too tall. There is a bathroom on the lower deck with a shower. Meals will be served on the Upper Deck under the cover in inclement weather and on the open deck in good weather. We will have a cook on board and a housekeeping person to clean the boat and to do the laundry daily. We will have guides to help control the boats or to paddle the kayaks. We will have a tackle rental package available for $150 or you may bring your own equipment and baits. We will sell certain disposable baits such as soft plastics and jigs onboard the boat.
Clients will be taken to the boat upon arrival in Manaus and will remain with the boat until time for their return to the airport. No other arrangements will be offered by Amazon Fishing Adventures. Maximum number of participants per trip is 8 anglers.
