Watch Keith Covey as he travels to the hottest fishing grounds around the world. His fast paced, energetic reality fishing show features the best extreme fishing with first class charter captains, guides, resorts and lodges.
Keith Covey is the globe-trotting, fun-loving host of World Wide Fishing Guide TV. Covey caught his first fish - a 10 lb. Bass - while fishing alone at the early age of four. He became hooked, fishing all the lakes and reservoirs in his hometown of Spring Valley, Calif. as a child.
Covey is a seasoned sales and marketing professional. In 1996, he combined his love of fishing with his expertise and established the World Wide Fishing Guide. In just five years, WWFG grew to be the largest Internet directory and referral service for the recreational sport fishing industry. The site remains the most well traveled all-fishing directory on the Web, with over eight million hits monthly.
In 1998, Covey was featured as a fishing expert and co-host on the Outdoor Life Network's Saltwater Angler and ESPN's Subaru American Outback programs. It was only a matter of time before he would launch his own show. He began production on WWFG TV in 1999 with the first episodes running on The Outdoor Channel and later spots on The Sportsman's Channel. WWFG TV was originally designed to provide anglers with valuable tips and information on planning a fishing trip. The show has since expanded its mission, becoming dedicated to bringing a higher level of ethical practice to the sport of fishing as a whole. Covey firmly believes that not all fish should be killed - that a gentlemen's etiquette must be established in the world of sport fishing in the name of conservation. Covey emphasizes the "bag and release" method, encouraging anglers to only bag what they can eat and leave the rest in preservation.
In his 35 years as a fisherman, Covey has reeled in over 140 different species of fish from around the world. He has fished with the likes of world-renowned IGFA fisherman Raleigh Werking, and Orvis Fly-Fisherman of the Year, Pat McCord.
Covey resides in San Diego with his two sons, Zane, 11 and River, 9. When he is not traveling the world in search of the next catch, he enjoys spending time on the family boat - a 33 foot Sportfisher.
