 Bermuda offers some great big game fishing. Our season starts in April
with Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, plus the odd Billfish.
In May, the fishing really heats up with the best Yellowfin Tuna fishing
anywhere! Fish averaging between 15 to 100 pounds, fishing with 30lb test standup
tackle, some trolling, mostly chumming, plus good Wahoo fishing. The really exciting part of
May is the appearance of the large Blue Marlin. We caught two Granders during May
over the past two years so we always suggest that and the beginning of the Blue &
White Marlin season.
June, July & August is PRIME BLUE MARLIN TIME with good White
Marlin, Tuna & Wahoo fishing. Bigger Yellowfins this time of year, plus lots of other fish…..
Bonita, Rainbow Runner, Barracuda, Amberjack, Shark, etc. Lots of calm seas and BIG
FISH!!
September, October & November is Wahoo time. Lots of Wahoo with
catches of 10 to 20 not uncommon. Wahoo are FAST FISH and provide GREAT FUN! Plus, the
Yellowfins come back strong and there are still plenty of Billfish around. This is also our
livebait season.
 We fish with 1/2lb bonitas and troll at 3kts with 30lb and 50lb standup
tackle. We always get LOTS of multiple hookups!
December to March mainly produces Wahoo and Tuna but seas can be rough
this time of year, so don’t book a small boat!

“Staying on top of it!” Over the past 30 years of running a
charter boat, I have learned what it takes to make your day out on the
water a treasured memory for you, your family and/or your colleagues.
While nobody can control what the fish do on a given day, we are happy
to discuss all of your fishing options with you before the day starts
and tailor your day to your wishes.
Want to try to catch that 1,000 pound Blue Marlin you have always
dreamed about? We will focus the day on that. Want to keep your
clients busy catching fish and watching the aquarium off the back of the
boat? We can do that too.
The Boat
 Staying on top of it! We will take you out in the finest
charter boat available in Bermuda. MAKO is a 56 foot Carolina
Sportfisherman built by Sunny Briggs in 2009. She is powered by twin
1,000 horsepower CATs which produce a top speed of 40 knots. With a
cruise of 30 knots, once we clear the reef, we only have a 20 minute run
before lines go in and we start fishing.
MAKO is purpose built for Bermuda big game fishing using all of my experience in
the design. While a smaller boat would be more economical, I have found
that my customers enjoy their day more when they can relax in the ride
that a big Carolina boat provides. Obviously, the fact that the boat is
brand new means that all equipment is in tip top shape your safety or
fishing time will not be compromised on MAKO.
In order to ensure that my customers can take advantage of every fishing
option, we have Tuna Tubes for live baiting ½ pound tinker mackerel,
large live well to hold plenty of Ocean Robins for live baiting, a
chumming station for Tuna fishing, and for the way home, a comfortable
salon with comfortable seating for six.

All trips are based on 6 passengers up to a maximum of 8 people. Full Day Trips (9 hours) $2,000 3/4 Day Trips (6 hours) $1,700
