Diving Excursions
The natural beauty of Belize offers extraordinary diving opportunities. The Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, the second largest coral reef system in the world straddles the coast of Belize. Forty-five miles from the mainland, is the Lighthouse Reef Atoll, home to the great Blue Hole - a World Heritage site of the United Nationals Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The site was made famous by Jacques-Yves Cousteau who declared it one of the top ten scuba diving sites in the world. Dive the ledges of the Great Blue Hole and swim with giant groups and nurse sharks.
The Lighthouse Reef Atoll offers the most magnificent dive locations, in all of Belize, such as: the Aquarium, Cathedral Reef, Half Moon Wall and many more!
During your wait times, diving on the Lighthouse Reef Atoll, you can visit the Half Moon Natural Monument, located on Half Moon Caye. Enjoy the beautiful island and seascapes, along with the Red-footed Boobie birds.
