Spanish creek rainforest reserve is a 2000 acre reserved property that is managed by the Ellenby-Tucker family in the heart of Belize. The property borders 4 miles of river coastline and is uninhabited by humans. We have a small eco -friendly rustic lodge that is fun and comfortable for any type of adventure seeker. We have hot water showers and clean beds with kerosene lamps. We have high speed satellite Internet in the jungle. We grow all our own food in the huge organic culinary garden. We do fishing trips on the Spanish creek that is as wide as a river. We have a 16ft skiff powered with a 40 Suzuki outboard for fly fishing up to 4 people. We also do canoe trips with electric motors. There is an abundance of wildlife to see such as crocodile, tapir, deer and jaguar. We also catch and eat freshwater tarpon, catfish, tilapia and peacock bass. The Creek is full of fish. We then take a tour of Belize in our 14 seater veggie oil diesel land cruiser to Belize city for a boat ride to Caye caulker. Our boat is a 32 ft deep V, 26 passenger powered by a 250 Yamaha. On Caye Caulker we stay at our best friends hotel "Ignacio's beach cabins'. the rooms are private and located directly on the beach in front of the reef. We cook all our meals at the hotel with our fresh grown produce. We go out a mile past the reef to the continental shelf and troll with live bait and lures. We catch tuna, king fish, wahoo, mahi, marlin, barracuda, grouper and snapper. We are liable to catch just about anything out there and the boat is perfect for the swells and for comfortable fishing.
When we get enough to make everyone happy, we head into the reef for a little spearfishing and snorkeling. we dive up some conch and lobster and head in to clean the fish. My wife Adena is a top chef in Belize and will bewilder the taste buds of anyone on Earth. Our fishing package is one of a kind and you wont find any thing like it in the world.
