Guides often come from families who were a part of the traditional economy of Ambergris Caye back when it was mainly based on fishing for export. Using flats skiffs and Mexican style pangas, the guides lead anglers into secluded, hidden flats rich with schools of bonefish running from 2-5 lbs, Permit ranging from 5-10lbs (although some reach 30lbs) and the occasional Tarpon.
All English-speaking, our guides know every inch of Belize's waters and are skilled in working with every type of angler from beginner to expert in fly-fishing, light tackle, or deep sea. You can bring your own equipment or, upon request, guides can provide specific gear as needed
