Tarpon Caye Lodge is located on the north point of Charlie Leslie's private island just a 30 minute boat cruise from Placencia Village in Belize, Central America.
At Tarpon Caye Lodge our specialty is Belize Fly Fishing for Permit and Tarpon; we stand out because we fish the tides and not on a time schedule; our passion and number one priority is to catch fish and we want our clients to take full advantage of that experience.
 Tarpon Caye Lodge is responsible for many fly fisherman catching their first Permit and Tarpon on the fly; for example Fraser Heston son of Legendary Silver Screen Actor Charlton Heston.
With over 35 years experience in Belize fly fishing for Permit and Tarpon on the fly in Southern Belize, we also offer Spin Fishing, Reef Fishing and Conventional Fishing.
We offer Fishing Packages from our private island fishing lodge in Placencia, Belize, Central America and we also offer Day Fishing Tours from Mainland Placencia.

 Imagine doing two of the things you love the most; that is fishing and relaxing on a private island in the beautiful Caribbean, where the sun is warm, the sea is crystal clear and the beverages are ice cold. After your morning fish you come back to the island for a siesta or you can lie on the beach, sip on an ice cold beer, snorkel the spectacular Fringe Reef right off the beach or grab a kayak and go explore. What more could you ask for, this is a fisherman's Heaven, where you are getting up to 20 shots a day at the elusive permit, and when you just want to take it easy but still fish, just grab your coffee and stroll right out into Tarpon Caye's Lagoon and get some shots at some tarpon to get you warmed up.

Charlie Leslie's Tarpon Caye Lodge is an in-tuned with nature, down to earth, family owned and oriented lodge located on our small 10 acre caye (island) just 15 miles east of the famous Placencia Peninsula in southern Belize (which is known to be Mother Nature's Best Kept Secret).
Our lodge has been designed and geared toward fishermen who are looking to chase the elusive permit, the big tarpon or the feisty bonefish, or all three.
Every year we make upgrades to our island facilities for we also want to cater to people looking for an island retreat with a more down to earth feel which will not cost you a second home mortgage, but still have all the necessary amenities that you would enjoy at the over-priced resorts.
