Andros Bonefishing Lodge lodge Bahamas.
Andros Bonefishing
Built on the site of a 250 year old English Sisal plantation, Andros Island Bonefishing Club takes you away from it all and places you within a fly cast of some of the best fishing in the world; located at the mouth of Cargill Creek, a 27 mile long fresh water stream. Around the island 5-7 pound bonefish are the norm, but on most days you will see at least one topping 12 pounds! The area is known as "The Land of Giants" or "The Last Resort", anglers are frequently tested by elusive bones that exceed 10 pounds. There are few places in the fishing realm where one can expect to find trophy-size bonefish in reliable numbers; Andros Island Bonefish Club rates as one of the very best locations. Andros Bonefishing Lodge
The lodge accommodations feature spacious, comfortable, air-conditioned double cabins with private bath, refrigerator, two queen beds, ceiling fans, and plenty of room for all your tackle and belongings. Maximum capacity is 24 guests. The main dining room/lounge at the Andros Bonefishing Lodge has satellite TV and a well-stocked bar. The hearty, home-cooked meals are delicious with generous portions. Dinner time is also a great social event. It is a time to share stories, adventures, and tips with well traveled anglers from many locations. About the Owner Owner Captain Rupert Leadon is a personable host who warmly welcomes guests and attends to their needs. One comment that comes back to us frequently from satisfied clients is: "We felt very much at home and welcome at Andros Island Bonefishing Club. In a short time, we were all friends." Andros Bonefishing Guides Captain Rupert personally leads and trains his competent staff of native Andros bonefishing guides. They are all highly skilled, experienced saltwater flats fishing guides.
Anglers fish from Dolphin Super Skiffs, complete with poling platforms, 70-hp motors and spacious casting decks. They are roomy, fast, and comfortable. There is more than just bonefish in this warm turquoise Caribbean Sea. Less than 1/2 mile to the east is a deep channel called the "Tongue of the Ocean," which drops from shallow water to thousands of feet of blue water. From this channel, huge barracudas work their way onto the flats. It's not uncommon to see cudas of four feet or longer in water less than shin deep, and they will take a well-placed fly or lure. Policy strictly "catch and release". Bahamas Bonefishing Packages Include: All accommodations and meals at lodge, as well as all day fishing with boat, guide and lunch.
