What we are offering now is of course fishing in the challenging river Rio Grande which offers fish of average 8-12 pounds with some reaching 20 pounds and bigger.

This season from various beats of Rio Grande we landed 28, 26, 26, 24, 22, 21pound, as well as numbers of smaller ones in the size from 8 to 19 pounds.

Rio Gallegos is the river of delicate fishing, floating line, small flies and careful wading.

The Bella Vista lodge is an old estancia living house, all refurnished and have been changed in a nice way in to a fishing lodge. At a arrival you will be welcomed by Nick and Monica which are managing the lodge, they are doing a great job, the food is excellent, the guides and the staff is all hard working in making your holiday as pleasant as possible.

The best time for Rio Gallegos is late February , March and until middle of April. The size of the fish is more or less the same as on the Rio Grande, perhaps slightly smaller average weight or around 9 pounds, biggest fish on the season is around 25 pounds and several fish over 20 pounds is landed every season. Double handed rods is recommended 13-14 foot for line 9-10.

The fishing here at Pira lodge is done on the Iber Marshland, one of the most unique and fascinating wetlands in the world. Over 3 million acres of unexplored and uninhabited marshland in the northeastern corner of Argentina are the setting for some for the most exciting fishing you will ever do. The marsh is a waste fishing of crystal clear creeks, flowing rivers, shallows, and lakes imagine an area over twice the size of the Florida Everglades. You will spend your days here in state-of-the-art Hell's Bay flats skiffs exploring this enormous expanse with enthusiastic guides. Dorado are exceptionally plentiful here due to the astonishing clarity of the water, the fishing is unparalleled in excitement and beauty. Floating lines and traditional saltwater streamers as well as many of the lodges own deadly patterns are used to make tasty presentations to waking fish.

Pira Lodge was designed to provide its guests not only with a remarkable fishing experience, but also with tremendous comfort. There are only 5 rooms here so you will never feel crowded. Each air-conditioned room has two double beds, and large French doors that open to wide verandas with sprawling view.

This part of Argentina is one of the most pictures places in the world, high mountains, green valleys and plentiful of gin clear water rivers offering great sport for light tackle. The most common species is hard fighting Brown Trout and Rainbows. We are able to get you on the best lodges at the most sought after rivers in this area.
