Every good fisherman knows you have to go where the fish are; the British Virgin Islands surrounds you with them. Whether you’re a first time fisherman or an experienced fly fishing angler for Bone-Fish and or Tarpon, the local guides always know where the fish are biting. Kenneth Garfield Faulkner Jr. better known as Garfield is an Anegadian native who is well known locally. With over 27 years of experience. Garfield introduces himself to the rest of the world 12 years ago, when he started Garfield’s Guides in 1998. As a skillful captain, guide, and fisherman Garfield has trained his guides to have just as many skills as himself.
Garfield guides takes place along the flat south shores, of Anegada, British Virgin Islands, which is about 11 miles long. Most of the fishing takes place in open flats, which is mainly sandy bottoms and turtle grass spots. We also fish around the mangroves. Wading may depend on the weather conditions.
Our main catch is bone-fish, on certain occasions, there are Tarpons and/or Permits in the surrounding areas. Due to the great water temperatures surrounding Anegada, Bone-Fish are found year round. Garfield also offers In-Shore Trolling and Snorkeling. Anegada’s Tourist Peak Season is early November to the end of June. Garfield’s Guides Bone-Fish year round.
