Bow River Fly Fishing Full & Half Day Floats or Walk & Wades on the World Famous "Blue Ribbon" Bow River The Lower Bow River This is the World Renowned Blue Ribbon Section of the Bow River. Made Famous by its strong acrobatic Rainbows, and impressively large browns, all of which are wild stock. This stretch of the Bow River has between 2000 and 2500 fish per mile. The rainbows are originally of a Steelhead strain, and the moment you hook into to one of these fish you'll know. There are two strains of Bow River Browns, the German and the Scottish, and no single word can adequately describe some of these fish except for absolute "hawgs".
 There are hopper and streamer banks that will leave your knees shaking, riffles and flats that beg for a well presented dry fly and runs filled with fish waiting for a nymph to tumble by in the current. The Lower Bow River is a beautiful stretch of river filled with abundant wildlife, birds, and appealing scenery that will distract you to no end, even if only for a moment. Dry fly fishing, nymphing, and streamer fishing are all effective techniques that can be employed depending on the situation. Your guide will help you decide which technique will be most effective and enjoyable for you given the fishing situation, and is there to help you master them. Lower Bow River Fishing Guide Rates - Full Day: $500 Half Day $400 The Upper Bow River Known as our "Jewel of The Rockies" this scenic stretch of river will take your breath away. Winding through our Rocky Mountains this glacier fed stretch of river lays claim to the much sought after brown trout. Crystal clear water winds its way through forested islands at the base of Rocky cliffs that stretch up towards the heavens. This picturesque stretch of river will not only keep fishermen captivated, but nature lovers and bird watchers alike. Upper Bow River Fishing Guide Rates - Full Day $550 Half Day $400 The Reserve Stretch  The Bow River through the Sik Sika Blackfoot reserve has no public access. The River Ranche is, quite simply, the only access to over fifty miles of virtually untouched Bow River. The result is world class adventure just 30 minutes from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This is what the lower Bow fished like 20 years ago. The fish are plentiful and uneducated. Fishermen still have an opportunity to cast dries to fish, throughout the duration of the day, even on bright sunny days. It's the same Bow River, the same Bow River fish quality, except there's probably more fish, and no angling pressure to speak of. This is truly a fishermen's dream; monster rainbows, big bruiser browns, and no pressure.

The Red Deer is a smaller intimate float compared to that of the mighty Bow, but don't let the size of this river fool you; it holds big fish. The large browns that call the Red Deer home can be as challenging and as elusive as any trout you will pursue. The often prolific hatches of the Red Deer River offer fishermen the opportunity to cast dry flies to these large and elusive brown trout on a pristine river system that looks like it should be in the heart of our Rocky Mountains. The Red Deer River Fishing Guide Rates $525 The Livingstone & Oldman River Walk & Wades  This gin clear river twists its way through canyons in some of the most impressive scenery the Rocky Mountains has to offer. Cast dry flies in pool after pool filled with rising Cutthroat Trout. Pockets, riffles, and runs round this water out as a classic dry fly stream. The Oldman River supports an extremely healthy population of fish with your average Cutthroat being around 14" with many caught over the 20" mark.
As in many of the rivers in the Oldman drainage you never know when you will have a bull trout chasing after the cutthroat you just hooked. Your guide will have streamers and another rod rigged at all times ready to cast to these large and predacious fish that are an absolute blast on fly gear. The middle portion of the river is home to many hybridized "cutbows", which, although they are not native, possess the strong and acrobatic nature of the rainbow, as well as the eagerness to come to the surface for a dry fly that we so love Cutthroat for. Enjoy a full day of fly fishing the world renowned Bow River from our Mackenzie style flat bottomed drift boats. You can bring your own gear or feel free to use our gear; we can and will provide (waders, boots, rods, reels and line, tippet, and flies.) * All Prices are in Candian Dollars.
