Kenai River Fishing Guide and Cooper Landing Alaska Lodge

Kenai River Fishing Guide

fishingAlaska Salmon Fishing and Alaska Trout Fishing on the Kenai River

2012 is our 34th year as Alaskan fishing guides.

In that time, we've taken thousands of folks fishing...

... a few at a time.

Experience world class Kenai River fishing with our seasoned Alaska fishing guides for:

    Trophy Rainbow Trout
    King Salmon
    Red Salmon
    Silver Salmon
    Dolly Varden/Char
    Arctic Grayling

We fish from drift boats on Alaska's Upper Kenai River & Kasilof River and power boats on the Lower Kenai River and we fly out to wild rivers for one day adventures at high mountain lakes & salmon streams.

Kenai River Fishing Lodge Cooper Landing, Alaska

fishingWe are located in historic Cooper Landing, in the mountains, at the headwaters of the Upper Kenai River. We are just above the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and surrounded by the Chugach National Forest. Moose often walk through our parking lot, eagles fly over several times daily and an abundance of Alaskan bird life frequents the spruce forest and river corridor next to our offices.

Our offices are right on Alaska Highway 1, exactly at Mile 48 and easy to find.

We are less than 2 hours from Anchorage, 45 minutes from Seward and 45 minutes from Soldotna on the Kenai Peninsula. Homer, Alaska is about 2 hours away.

This central location makes us an ideal spot to stay while exploring the Kenai Peninsula and for premium Alaska guided fishing trips. And our location and experience make us your perfect choice for Salmon and Trout fishing on the Kenai.

We are a G. Loomis sponsored guide service dedicated to the conservation of our resources.

Salmon, Trout & Dolly Varden
$275.00 plus tax
8 - 9 Hours on the water

A limited number of people get to fish the best waters of the Kenai river - the Kenai Wildlife Refuge.

Flowing down from its confluence with the world famous Russian River, the Kenai enters the refuge, winding through islands, gravel bars & back channels to find the highest concentration of wild salmon and native trout.

This part of the Kenai River is closed to motors and a favorite of fly-fishermen. Limited entry; ultimate Kenai river fishing!

Upper Kenai River Half Day Fishing
Trout & Dolly Varden
$175.00 plus tax
4 - 5 Hours on the water

fishingWe can always target rainbow trout and dolly varden and when the red and silver salmon are present, we will try for those. Beginners to advanced will enjoy this unique experience - fishing one of Alaska’s fabled waters. Fly, spin and casting rods are provided and we adjust the trip to each angler’s experience.

Kasilof River Fishing
King Salmon
$275/person plus tax
7 - 8 hours on the water

Some drift boats and a group of bank anglers fish this river each day. But, it is one of the Kenai Peninsula’s top producing King Salmon streams.

A short drive from Cooper Landing gives you a chance at that once-in-a-lifetime giant King. The Kasilof River is closed to motorized boats.

Kenai Fly-in Fishing
Salmon, Trout, Dolly Varden or Grayling
from $495.00/person plus tax (and up)
8 to 12 hours total (5 – 8 hours on the water)

fishingThe pinnacle of every angler’s dreams is to fly into Alaska’s wilderness for a day of great fishing. Get away from the roads & crowds for a day of light-tackle fishing in the high mountain lakes or try for a limit of salmon on a remote stream - all combined with some spectacular flight-seeing. Many destinations also offer bear viewing possibilities.

A question I often hear is "who will be my guide?" All Alaska River Adventures guides are great teachers & skilled fishermen with top-notch gear, all the right tackle & many years guiding on Alaskan waters.

With our combined experience and the love & respect for the rivers we enjoy on our trips, we have the background and skills to teach you the things you'll need to make your Alaska fishing trip a success.

Your guide will have a little gray in his (or her) hair and will be a charming character. A real Alaskan!
