Alaska Fly In' Fishing Lodge and Float Trips

Alaska Fly Fishing LodgeAlaskan Adventures Aniak Air Guides, located in Aniak, Alaska, 350 miles west of Anchorage, is owned and operated by Rob Kinkade and guides Rick and Lori Townsend. With more than nineteen years of guiding experience, Rob, Rick and Lori have learned what true sportsmen and sportswomen look for in a trip-of-a-lifetime.

What we have found to be the key is smaller group sizes. The best part about the small group size is you get to choose what you want to fish, not us. With hundreds of great fishing spots within one-hour flight, every day we can fly you out to a different location depending on what you want to fish that day. If you want to fish for Kings every day, then we fish for Kings every day; if you waAlaska Fishing air guidesnt to fish for Pike, then we fish for Pike. It is totally up to you.

Alaska Fly In' Fishing

Aniak is right in the middle of the best fishing and hunting in the world. The village is at the confluence of the Aniak and Kuskokwim rivers, and is in easy flying distance of the Yukon, Nushagak and Bristol Bay drainages. With all this water to fish, there is always a good run of salmon happening somewhere within a short flight of our Aniak lodge.

The Aniak River is known to yield 30-50 fish to one angler in one day. From mid-June to July aggressive chum salmon average 8-11 lbs., while trophy weights of 14-16 lbs. are not uncommon. King salmon ranging from 18 to a monstrous 50 lbs. are caught in the Aniak River where it is not uncommon to catch 10-20 Kings per day per rod. 5 to 6 lb. rainbow trout are caught daily in this area of Western Alaska. Pike fisherman are averaging almost 6 fish per day weighing over 20 pounds, with one angler catching a 36 pound giant. Alaska Aniak River Trout Fishing

Just imagine the wonderful fishing you will experience by having an experienced guide, his floatplane at your beck and call and some of the finest fishing rivers in the world for an entire week!

We also offer a trip for the more adventurous type, a self-guided float trip through the Alaskan wilderness on a large inflatable raft. These are easy flowing rivers with the purpose of the trip being fishing (not whitewater rafting). Which of our nine rivers you choose will depend on the species of fish you want to catch and the time of year.
