Kupreanof Island Fishing
Salmon fishing and halibut fishing are unguided and done in protected waters. We will provide you with maps and information to the fishing grounds. You'll be fishing within two minutes to 30 minutes from the lodge. We fish for: King Salmon (20-40 lbs), Sockeye Salmon (4-10 lbs), Pink Salmon (2-5 lbs), Silver Salmon (8-15 lbs) and of course Halibut (15-90 lbs) are common. However, much larger Halibut are caught (110-300 lbs). We also supply you with a crab pot for catching Dungeness Crab which are very plentiful.
Lodging
The main lodge is where meals are served, comes equipped with shower facilities and even areas where guests can socialize. There are two cabins that sleep up to six guests comfortably. Beds are bunk style and we supply all bedding. Both cabins are furnished with chairs, a table and are heated with diesel heaters.
Boats
Our boats are 18 ft Lunds. Side console steering with 40 horse motor and a 6 horse tiller drive trolling motor. 20 ft covered boats also available. Guests have unlimited use of their assigned boat. Fish whenever you like. The boats have all Coast Guard safety equipment. We supply our guests with both Salmon and Halibut poles, reels, terminal gear and bait for the duration of your stay. We filet, vacuum seal, and freeze your catch for you.
Self-guided Alaska Black Bear Hunting

Now You Can Hunt Alaska Black Bear at a Sensible Price!
We offer excellent self-guided Alaskan Black bear hunting. Multiple bear sightings in the same area is not uncommon. We hunt bears only from the end of April to the end of May - when they are on the beach eating the salt grass. That way you'll have the best possible opportunity to harvest an exceptional bear.
How do we hunt black bears?
When we hunt bears we spot and stalk from an 18 ft Lund boat. You drive your boat at low speed through the channels, coves and cuts and glass. You'll be looking for what looks like a big piece of coal on the beach. That is when you check your wind, because bears have excellent smell. Then you start your stalk.
Does the area have a lot of black bears?
In the lodge area, there is 1 bear per 3.5 miles which is a lot of bears for an area. This is not only a very exciting hunt, but a true Alaskan adventure.
