Soldotna Fishing

Ptarmigan Lodge will provide you with Alaskan-style hospitality. Owned and operated by 20+ year resident Capt'n Lou, who also has 15 years of salmon and halibut guiding experience. Whether it's barn door halibut or world class King Salmon, we'll provide you with a world-class fishing adventure.

Capt'n Lou's Ptarmigan Lodge is located in the heart of the Kenai Peninsula home of some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. If its glacier covered mountains, breaching whales or bears feed on the shore of a beach this is the place to be.

Soldotna Fishing Lodge

The Main Lodge, newly opened in 2005, is located a short 2-minute walk from the Kenai River. Guests staying at the Main Lodge enjoy a variety of meals, from homestyle to gourmet. Box lunches are provided on all your fishing excursions.

At Capt'n Lou's Ptarmigan Lodge if you have included meals with your package come HUNGRY. The biggest compalint Capt'n Lou gets on his meals is that "I can't EAT all of that."

Suites:

We also have 2 fully furnished suites for our more adventurous clients. Each suite sleeps 4. Clients who choose to stay in their own suite may also include meal service upon request.

Located in Soldotna, Alaska within the Kenai Peninsula, yes this is the home of the famous Kenai River where the world record King Salmon was taken. It is also home to some of the greatest fishing on earth along with some breath taking scenery.

At Capt'n Lou's Ptarmigan Lodge we will do our best to get you into the big fish. Getting them in is up to YOU.
