Bearclaw Lodge is a full service Bristol Bay Alaska Fly In Fishing Lodge providing the finest amenities and exceptional fishing in a truly remote location.

Perfectly situated in the renowned Bristol Bay
area 350 miles southwest of Anchorage, our lodge is at the doorstep of the Wood-Tikchik
State Park. Between June and mid-September our crystal clear streams and rivers abound with fish. Kings are available by mid-June through mid-July. Sockeye are available through July. Silver Salmon come into the rivers in August through early September. Arctic char, grayling, Dolly Varden, and rainbow trout are available throughout the summer. And wherever Salmon are spawning you’ll find Rainbow Trout.

Remote lakefront location: 350 miles southwest of Anchorage and 35 miles northwest of Dillingham. Access to all five lakes in the Wood-Tikchik State Park, the largest state park in the U.S. Only accessible by boat or floatplane. Hundreds of miles of shoreline for both lake and stream fishing.

You may choose either a main lodge or fly-in outcamp experience or a combination of the two. Main Lodge:

• Five private bedrooms (queen or twin beds) with shared bath rooms are available for our guests.
• Guest rooms are tastefully decorated and immaculate.
• Decks surrounding the 2900 square foot lodge afford guests views of our beautiful crystal clear lakefront setting, surrounded by mountains and forests.
• Bearclaw Lodge has full electricity, laundry facilities -- all the comforts of home in a wilderness setting.
• Guests are treated to the finest entrees prepared in our full-service kitchen. Besides hot and hearty breakfasts, take-along shore lunches, and savory evenings meals, guests delight in our fresh homemade breads, cookies, pies, and cakes. Complimentary beer and wine served with meals.

Fly-in Outcamp:

A short 45 minute floatplane ride delivers you to the pristine unspoiled beauty of our outcamp on the Nushagak River; from this camp you'll have access to the largest run of King Salmon in Alaska, as well as huge runs of sockeye, chum and silvers. Our Weatherport tents with wood platforms allow you to enjoy the area in comfort. Wholesome meals are prepared for you by our guides over the campfire or on a stove.
