French West Indies Guadeloupe Ekwatafly
Ekwatafly fishing adventures located on the island of
Guadeloupe in the French West Indies. Professional fishing guide,
Alexis Ducros, will show you where and how to sight fish and catch
bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook and other species of fish indigenous
to the Caribbean. Whether you are interested in saltwater fly fishing,
or light tackle spin fishing, we will be happy to help you plan
your dream fishing adventure. Whether you are fishing by foot on the
flats for bonefish and permit, or casting off the big deck of our
Mitzi 17 flats boat for tarpon and snook, you will have lots of great
fishing stories to take home from Guadeloupe to share with your
friends and family. The eight islands that make up the archipelagos
known as Guadeloupe have over 360 miles of coastline.

Most of the flats and lagoons that we fish are easily accessible by
foot. These shallow flats are primarily sea grass, coral and reefs cut
into the sand. We also have a few mud and sand flats that can be
reached in our flats boat. Wading through these picturesque lagoons
with fly rod in hand and eyes peeled for that big bonefish or permit
is an experience you will never forget. Your fly fishing guide
Alexis Ducros is well informed on all the best spots around the
islands to find the bonefish.
Guadeloupe Fly Fishing Guide
Alexis Ducros was born and raised in the coastal country of Gabon, in
west central Africa. He grew up fishing the coastal lagoons of West
Africa for barracuda, jack, giant snapper and tarpon. Alex
soon developed a reputation as one of the top saltwater fishermen in
Gabon. Around this time, he began to develop a love for fly fishing in
saltwater. Since then he has not looked back, and has been fly
fishing exclusively for the last seven years.
Since moving to the islands of Guadeloupe, Alex has spent nearly every
day on the water perfecting his fly fishing craft. He enjoys spending
his free time snorkeling the flats and observing the bonefish, or
tying his own fly patterns at his home in St. Francois.
He will show you his preferred fly patterns and most productive
fishing spots around Guadeloupe. Whether you'd like to wade in the
flats for bonefish and permit or take down your first tarpon on a
fly rod, Alex will put you on the fish and give you many opportunities
to catch your dream fish.

fishing guide, Alexis Ducros!
Guadeloupe Fishing Season and Boat
Fishing is excellent year round in the French West Indies for bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook and other native species.
The islands of Guadeloupe enjoy a tropical climate year round with average temperatures in the 70's. The rainy season lasts from June to November, where November is usually the month with the most rainfall. The dry season, or trade winds season, lasts from December to May. Water temperature remains a warm 80 degrees Fahrenheit all year here in Guadeloupe.
If it's tarpon you're after, Marin Cove and Little Marin Cove are two
of our favorite spots to catch tarpon and snook. Just a short ride in
our brand new flats boat, the Mitzi 17 will get you to Marin
Cove.
Poling through shallow waters of 7"-8" is no problem for this awesome
flats boat. We can easily access nearly all of the shallow waters and
prime fishing spots around the islands of Guadeloupe, from the
Mitzi 17.
Ekwatafly is proud to own the ONLY flats boat in Guadeloupe or in any
French country!
